Make Banner that Connects your brand to the world

An advertisement banner is a visual representation of a product or brand on a web page, linking back to the advertiser’s website. Web banner design is one of the most common types of online marketing used in today’s world. It comes in many forms and can be used to increase brand recognition. They’re affordable, measurable, and effective. A successful web banner ad is one that gets clicks.

Standard banner sizes should be used to maximize the effectiveness

There is no such thing as a standard advertisement. Most destinations have a number of basic sizes, so you will need to stick to their specifications. Occasionally a similar format is followed for email pamphlets.)

Google AdWords, one of the biggest servers of standard advertisements on the internet, remains knowledgeable of the most common sizes. It’s a verifiable rule that big advertisements will outrank their taller competitors. Google points out that it may be because of the situation with the parchment and the fact that it’s increasingly more agreeable to read left to right instead of a heap of stacked content.

Standard banner sizes that are most successful on Google Adsense include:

  • Leaderboard – 728x90px
  • Half Page – 300×600px
  • Medium Rectangle – 300×250px
  • Large Rectangle – 336×280px

Keep hierarchy in place

The design of banner ads depends on the right balance within each ad, so be conscious of its hierarchy. A successful banner ad increases traffic to your website and increases brand awareness.

They consist of three basic components:

  • Branding for your company

To build brand awareness, you must include your company logo. It should be visually prominent, but not more so than the value proposition or call to action.

  • What is the value proposition?

Using attractive offers and prices, the value proposition brings attention to the service/product you provide. This should take up the most space in your ad and be the first thing viewers see. For instance, “Brand New”, “30% off”, or “Buy before sale Ends.”

  • Here is the call to action

CTAs are the texts or buttons that invite the user to take action. You can use phrases such as “Shop NOW” or “Know More” to demonstrate your intent. The main focus should be to demonstrate your intent.

 Stay true to your brand

You will link your banner ad to a landing page where your offer will be displayed. To avoid potential customer confusion, make sure your ad aligns with your branding and the landing page.

Make the situation urgent

Utilize contrast and bold colors to create a visual sense of urgency in the text. It’s not always about subtlety in banner ads.

Clearly define your frame of reference

An object inside a frame naturally draws people’s attention. Banner ads that are effective have graphic elements that extend beyond the box’s borders. It’s common for white ads to have a 1-pixel gray border around them.

Colors should be chosen accordingly

A different color is associated with different emotions, and it’s important to consider what types of emotions you want your audience to feel. The user’s first impression of your banner ad will be its color.

Make appropriate use of buttons

The click-through rate (CTR) of your ad will often increase if you use buttons on your banner. Depending on how you intend to use them, you could place them at the bottom of your copy in (tastefully) contrasting colors.  the file sizes as small as possible.

File sizes should be kept small

Google Adwords encourages you to keep your ad file size under 150kb. It must load quickly on a page so viewers do not miss it.

File formats should be used correctly

The files you will receive from your designer will likely be JPG, PNG, GIF. He will typically work in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop when delivering JPG, PNG, or GIF files, or in Google Web Designer. It is advisable to use these other image file formats as opposed to Flash ads due to the fact that they are mostly out of date at this point.

That’s it! Creating truly awesome, high-performing banner ads take more than these guidelines. It might be best to hire a talented creative to design the perfect, clickable ads for you if you’re not an expert designer (or too busy running your business).
