Facebook to help you locate the best professional services in your local region soon!! Wondering…true!
A recent short post by Sreedev Sharma tripped everybody on internet which revealed that the popular social media website Facebook has unveiled yet another new feature, “The Services Directory”, however it hasn’t announced it officially yet.
While, the official date when it was first rolled out is unknown, companies like Yelp and Google have already been using this unannounced feature.
This new feature is said to be desktop-only.
How this feature works?
Click on the link: https://www.facebook.com/services/.
You will see two menus: the first one for the business specific search item, like “Movie Theaters”, and the next menu for place/region, for example “Mumbai”. Hit search.
You’ll then see a list of all Movie Theaters in Mumbai prioritized according to the popular Facebook reviews and ratings.
Earlier this year, another similar feature from Facebook, the Places Directory was also introduced , which is a local site that is designed specifically towards directing browsers to easily locate what they are searching for based on user reviews, though it is not sure that you get answers for all your queries.
The new Places Directory is a combination of the Graph Search, the Page Locations API and many other elements to feed-in the directory with the best results for local queries. The fact that the results in the directory are based on the best user reviews ensures that the feature is quite reliable and trustworthy.
