There is no traction or improvements… and you are in the dilemma of what to do next? As far better CTRs are concerned, it greatly depends on the campaign you’re running.   1. Match types:

Remember that match types is one of the trickiest settings, which bring down your performance. So, if you wish to run an amazing campaign, then you need to control over the match types work. At time, when you have to deal with several campaigns together and that too on different levels, the granularity needs to be large. Thus, you can split up your keyword match types by variation. Also, make sure that there isn’t any duplication involved.

  1. Using Negative Keywords:

Generally, the negative keywords are ignored. But, there usage helps significantly to decrease the traffic from related but irrelevant searches. For better results, it is advisable to use campaign level or Adgroup level filtering with the negative keywords. You need to check for those hidden ‘keywords’ in one or two ad groups, which brought the low quality and wrong traffic.

3. Create Multiple Ad-groups

Remember that you can have hundreds and thousands of Ad groups for every campaign. So, you hardly need to stuff all keywords in just single Ad group. For a good start, in a single Ad group you can involve 10-20 keywords. Doing so, you can easily focus on the message which is customized for your audience. And, in return you get higher number of clicks in this competitive environment!
