For the first time, Google has released the full version of it’s Search Quality Raters Guidelines

Remember the Google SEO ranking Tips on your fingertips now!!! Google has released for the first time it’s search quality raters guidelines. Continue to know more!

The experimentation has finally come to an end!

Updating algorithms for search involves a procedure of experimentation. This process includes evaluators for quality assessment of Google’s search results that gives Google their feedback on their experiments. Although, ratings from evaluators do not define the individual site rankings, but help them understand the experiments. The ratings of the evaluators are based on the guidelines Google provide them; the guidelines reveal what Google thinks search users want.

In 2013, Google published their human rating guidelines in order to provide transparency of how Google works that helped the webmasters understand what Google looks for in their webpages. And since then, a lot has changed depending on the new technologies, needs and acceptance of the people.

Google keeps on making changes to these guidelines, but haven’t shared an update publicly ever. But, 3 days back, for the first time, Google has released the full version of its Search Quality Raters guidelines and handbook in form of a full160-paged PDF. Click here to download the PDF.  The PDF will help understand how to rate the search results being tested.

Google’s Mimi Underwood says, “Ratings from evaluators do not determine individual site rankings, but are used help us understand our experiments.” “The evaluators base their ratings on guidelines we give them; the guidelines reflect what Google thinks search users want”, she added.

Underwood indicated that Google will keep the document updated over time, as they are constantly refreshing it “as search, and how people use it, changes.”

The PDF released is assumed to be a SEO game-changer both for the evaluators and the webmasters as it will help them understand the evaluation process based on various norms of Google and help them make their webpages the way Google wants them to be.
